Your Road to Self-Mastery

Hi beauties! How have you all been? It’s been awhile since I wrote, and today I was all giddy to express myself. So here we go…

I’m sure by reading this title you must be thinking, “what the heck is the road to self-mastery?” But if you clicked on it, you must be interested, so keep reading =)

I call this process a road, not the yellow brick one like on Wizard of Oz, but a road nonetheless because self-mastery is constantly evolving and every changing. What you master one day, may be the opposite the next. Either way you are LEARNING, and that’s a good thing!

Can you imagine if a road kept going in the same direction? Certainly, some roads do stay the same for a long time, but eventually ya gotta turn somewhere, right?

Anywho, for me, self-mastery is a road worth taking towards your healing and self-discovery. It was something I had start implementing (and still practice today) in order to gain my self-awareness, self-confidence, self-worth, and more!

So how does self-mastery work? Well, I’ll tell ya, it ain’t easy, or everybody would be doing it. And not everybody wants to travel if you get my drift. You do you! It also helps with goal setting. You can read more on that here.

Your road will be different, but that’s what makes it beautiful. It’s your journey to become the best version of yourself, for yourself. Each time you push forward, you start to recognize the trip is worth it, you are worth it! Even if you think you’ve failed, you have not.

I used to be the girl that never thought she had the power to stand out or feel worthy until I decided to start doing the inner-work.

Self-mastery will pave the way towards transformation, which I now appreciate as well.

A great quote once said:

“Watch your thoughts, they become words; watch your words, they become actions; watch your actions, they become habits; watch your habits, they become character; watch your character, for it becomes your destiny.”

When working on yourself, it’s not selfish. I used to think it was, but now I know if I don’t take care of myself, no one is going to do it for me.

Things that have helped me:

1. Practicing mindfulness. Self-mastery requires you to observe thoughts, feelings, etc.

2. Find a reason to forgive. Forgive yourself and forgive others allows you to make room for more self-love.

3. Journaling ideas, thoughts, feelings, etc: Never to be underestimated. It helps clear my mind.

4. Positive Thinking: Monitor that self-talk and heck give yourself a pep-talk

5. Keep Focused: What are you wanting to accomplish and why are equally important

Which road do you want to take? May it pave the way towards your success!!!

Need extra help towards more self-love? I’ve got you covered with a 30 day calendar for tips.
